De TILLUME 24V tunable white LED spot is een compacte spotmodule voor 24V constant-voltage verlichtingssystemen. De vormfactor volgt gangbare MR16/GU10-afmetingen en kan in veel geschikte frames of behuizingen worden geïnstalleerd.
Helderheid en kleurtemperatuur kunnen afzonderlijk worden geregeld wanneer de controller twee geschikte 24V PWM-uitgangen biedt.
Projectnotitie: frames en behuizingen van verschillende fabrikanten kunnen andere toleranties en thermische ruimte hebben. Test bij grotere projecten het geplande frame of de behuizing met een samplemodule vóór installatie.

Optiek en lichtkwaliteit
2200–6500K tunable white, 60° stralingshoek, Ra >90 op de afzonderlijke kanalen en tot Ra >95 bij gemengde aansturing rond 4000K.
Elektrische planning
24V DC constant-voltage, twee gescheiden WW/CW-kanalen van 4W+4W. Het totale vermogen van 8W is alleen relevant wanneer de controller beide kanalen passend kan aansturen.
PWM en dimmen
Dimmen gebeurt via de voorafgaande 24V PWM-uitgang. Voor de meeste projecten adviseren wij een PWM-frequentie van 1–4 kHz; TILLUME Expert spots ondersteunen tot 6 kHz wanneer controller en dimmgedrag passen.

Met welke systemen werkt deze 24V tunable white LED spot?
De spot is ontworpen voor 24V constant-voltage lichtcircuits. Het bovenliggende systeem kan KNX, DALI of Loxone zijn. Belangrijk is de laatste uitgang naar de LED-module: die moet passen bij vermogen, kanaalaantal, PWM-kwaliteit en gewenste dimcurve.
KNX
Geschikt met KNX LED-controllers of KNX LED-dimactoren met passende 24V-uitgangen voor warm wit en koel wit.
DALI
Geschikt met DALI DT8 tunable white controllers, of met twee DALI DT6-kanalen wanneer de projectlogica daarop is gepland.
Loxone / PWM
Geschikt wanneer twee PWM-kanalen voor WW/CW beschikbaar zijn en de belasting per kanaal binnen de controllerlimiet blijft.
MDT AKD-0424R setup met 4+4W tunable white spots
Il faretto bianco dinamico 4+4W si adatta al MDT AKD-0424R quando in ETS si usa il comportamento max brightness per zone WW/CW compatte a due canali.
Fino a circa 8W totali è realistico solo nella zona CCT media e con una configurazione max brightness adatta. Per una luminosità più uniforme, constant output brightness è di solito la logica di pianificazione più stabile.

MDT AKD-0424R KNX LED actuator
L’attuatore MDT fornisce l’uscita 24V lato KNX. In ETS si definisce se l’ambiente deve avere più potenza nella zona CCT media o una luminosità più uniforme.

I canali bianco caldo e bianco freddo possono essere aumentati insieme nella zona CCT media. In questa modalità MDT, lo spot 4+4W può raggiungere fino a circa 8W totali.

Come funziona max power output con un modulo bianco dinamico 4+4W
In modalità max-power-output, il MDT AKD-0424R può usare più intensamente i canali bianco caldo e bianco freddo insieme nella zona CCT media.
Illustrazione semplificata: la curva reale dipende da parametri ETS, logica del controller e obiettivo del progetto.
Punto clave: la mayor totaal vermogen no es un valor fijo en todo el rango CCT. Requiere configuración ETS adecuada, reserva de canal suficiente, alimentación 24V correcta y caída de tensión controlada.
Funzionamento DALI con DT8 o DT6
Con DALI DT8, temperatura colore e luminosità sono controllate tramite una logica tunable white comune. Se gli 8W totali sono rilevanti, verificare prima la logica di uscita del controller.

Quando è possibile una potenza totale di 8W?
La dicitura 4W+4W descrive i due canali LED: bianco caldo e bianco freddo. Per il funzionamento completo a 8W servono controllo indipendente dei canali, potenza sufficiente, parametri adatti e alimentazione 24V con riserva.
Se un controller usa potenza totale costante o curva di luminosità condivisa in tunable white, la potenza reale può essere inferiore. Non è un difetto del modulo spot, ma parte della logica del controller.

01 / Development
Development of Tunable White 24V LED Spots
TILLUME has been developing dim-to-warm LED lighting products since 2015. At that time, KNX and DALI tunable white controllers were still limited, and many controller platforms were originally built around single-CCT or DT6-style applications. Our early product development therefore focused on compatibility with the most common control methods available in real projects.
The challenge
Available dual-CCT COB options were limited. Some early market solutions offered only CRI 80, restricted customization and insufficient brightness for our target applications.
Our solution
We worked with partners to develop a two-CCT COB and designed a dedicated circuit for constant-voltage PWM signal input with a 3-wire connection.
Optical requirement
Because the light-emitting position changes during CCT adjustment, the optical system must mix light carefully to avoid visible colour separation.
02 / Construction
Key Components in a 24V LED Spot Module
A high-quality LED module is not the result of one single component. It depends on chip selection, COB packaging, driver design, optical design and heat dissipation working together as a system.
LED chips
The LED chip is the core of the COB. Chip quality affects brightness, colour accuracy, heat generation and service life. TILLUME places enough large-size chips within the limited COB area so each chip has more operating margin at the required current.
Larger chips can improve light efficiency and reduce heat stress, helping to limit colour shift and improve long-term stability.
COB packaging process
Instead of simply purchasing a common COB from the market, TILLUME cooperates directly with LED chip and LED packaging partners. The LED chips are fixed on a high-reflectivity aluminium substrate, connected with gold wire and covered with phosphor.
Every COB is tested for photoelectric performance to improve consistency in light colour and electrical behaviour. For higher reflective efficiency, we use high-reflectivity material from German manufacturer Alanod as part of the COB substrate solution.
High colour rendering is not only about a CRI number. We also care about the relationship to the Planckian locus and colour-quality behaviour that users can actually see in warm residential lighting.
03 / Electronics
Specialized Circuit Driver for 24V PWM Systems
Low-voltage installations may experience voltage drop along the cable. In simple LED products, changes in input voltage can cause changes in LED current, which may create visible brightness differences between modules installed at different distances.
TILLUME uses a dedicated constant-current optimized circuit inside the spot module. Within the intended voltage range and system conditions, this helps the module keep a more stable drive current and reduces visible brightness inconsistency.
04 / Thermal Design
Heat Dissipation: Why Real Lifetime Depends on Temperature
LED lifetime claims are often based on idealized test conditions. In real luminaires, the COB, bonding materials and internal driver circuit all operate at elevated temperatures. Better thermal design is therefore one of the most important factors for long-term reliability.

The module body and fin structure are designed to increase contact area with surrounding air.

Internal PCB and mechanical design help conduct heat away from electronic components.

05 / Optical System
Lens or Reflector?
For dual-CCT COBs, a lens can easily amplify colour separation because the emitting position changes during CCT adjustment. A reflector-based system gives us more control over light mixing before the beam leaves the module.
Common lens risk
The centre and edge of the beam may show different colour temperatures, especially during dim-to-warm transitions.
TILLUME reflector approach
A mixing part and reflector system help blend different CCT directions before forming the final beam.
The metal reflector also avoids the yellowing risk associated with some plastic optical parts after long-term operation.
